I. Remember what God is to you (v.3).
A. Praise Him because He is God!
B. Praise Him because He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
C. Praise Him because He is the Father of mercies!
D. Praise Him because He is the God of all comfort!
II. Remember what God does for you (4a, 8-11).
A. He permits the trials to come (v.4a, Romans 8:28).
B. He is in control of the trials (v.8).
C. God will enable you to bear your trials (v.9).
D. God will deliver you from your trials (v.10).
E. God is glorified through our trials (v.11).
III. Remember what God does through you (4b-7).
