Run The Race With Endurance
Hebrews 12:1-4 (March 4,2007)
I. You run the race with endurance by remembering those who ran
the race before you (v.1a).
II. You run the race with endurance by looking at yourself (v.1b).
A. To lay aside every weight & sin that so easily beset you!!!
B. To run with endurance the race that is set before you!!!
III. You run the race with endurance by looking at Jesus Christ (v.2)
A. Why? Because Jesus Himself ran the race of faith when He was
upon the earth.
B. Jesus had a great inspiration: The joy that was set before Him!!
IV. You run the race with endurance by considering the suffering of
Jesus Christ (v.3).
V. You run the race with endurance by resisting temptation even to
the point of blood (v.4).
